You won't find preppy, trendy threads or cutesy animals on a gothic gal (well, at least not a normal-looking one anyway). Gothic clothing loves to announce itself and leave people wondering.

The imagination disappeared about 2 years after the Goth trend became a trend. The Cure's still popular for the same reasons the Dead were -- a crowd of wannabe image-conscious trend******s.
There's nothing more pathetic than goths who think they're so very unique when they're just yet another fashion trend much like Izod.

Sadly its true theres almost no real goths left anymore, it used to be it didn't matter what you wore it was your personality that made you goth or not, now its just a bunch of kids trying to be fashionable, all being "original" while looking identical. To put it in simple terms they're as they say in highschool "preps in black"
